ANNA STARCK
ABOUT
Anna Stark is a painter who explores ancient mythologies as a tool for understanding the present. Stark's paintings are characterized by a dominant physical presence, where the primary motivation is to create an experience similar to the experience of observing church paintings, an experience defined by transcendental feelings.
Stark paints on canvases and paper, with expressive gestures that create a figurative image.
Her work is based on philosophical, theological, and mythological texts, which she reinterprets through her painting practice.
